ANAM Environments™ designs spaces that reflect identity, regulate the nervous system, and support how athletes and power performers actually live, heal, and evolve.

ANAM™ is a design philosophy grounded in the belief that environments shape the nervous system, memory, and sense of self. Every material, proportion, and spatial decision carries emotional weight and biological impact.
ANAM ENVIRONMENTS™ INTEGRATES:

Rooted in evidence based science and biophilia, backed by neuroscientists, researchers, designers, architects and medical professionals, Schellert is among less than 1% of designers, globally, with this certification. See case studies and research by NASA, Stanford, and NIKE.

Based on 27+ years of client design experience, paired with over a decade of research in behavioral psychology and certified in Neuroaesthetics and NeuroDesign, Schellert's ANAM discovery framework is formed around evidence backed science and performative results.

Creating a reset and recharge space for our own elite athlete after a traumatic experience gives us critical insight and knowledge to design from.

As a parent to a competitive dancer, ambassador, model and influencer, the additional needs of youth athletes are key criteria for family-based solutions.

In the study of Neuroaesthetics and Nuerodesign, it is our undertanding of the biological and physiological needs of the body in order to create comforting environments that promote restoration, cognitive performance and emotional regulation that sets us apart from regular interior design. In particular when it comes to the devastating impact of sleep deprivation and lighting.
For example, when ANAM studies the effects of Insomnia on high performance athletes specifically, and understands how chronic sleep deprivation leads to multimorbidity (cascading detrimental effects on the body) we have been more adept at designing beautiful, restorative sleep spaces utilizing proper sensory technology, color, products and materials to enhance the quality of sleep. This leads to more optimum health, well-being, vitality and performance.
High blood pressure can lead to the increase of heart failure.
Incorrect lighting exposure tied to late night insomnia increases risk of cancer and other autoimmune diseases.
Without proper sleep, the body cannot restore skin cells and other cellular repair during prime metabolic reset hours. The body begins to break down and cannot meet the high demands required to sustain physical and mental / cognitive function.
Restorative sleep is directly tied to emotional regulation and mood. Insomnia goes beyond simple irritablity, which can damage cognitive function required for communication (key to relationships and teamwork). Loss of confidence in abilities can lead to lost opportunities as well as dangerous partner work for athletes and teams, especially.
Insomnia, especially chronic insomnia, can lead to slower reflexes and response times critical for performance. Like emotional disregulation, lack of memory, poor reflexes and response times can be catastrophic during performances. As performance suffers, status, career and contracts can become vulnerable.
