This family came to us in a transition season: a home filled with history and emotional weight, a high-performing partner carrying constant mental load, a lifelong pageant title holder / new mother navigating identity shifts, a young child absorbing the environment. THEY WEREN'T JUST LOOKING FOR DESIGN. THEY WERE LOOKING FOR RELIEF. What they discovered in Tier 1:

His Champion Type revealed that he functions best in environments that feel clear, steady, and under control.
We shared with him early signals of being misaligned with his environment, which gave him awareness to quickly identify spaces that felt most overwhelming.

Her Champion Type revealed that her nervous system is highly responsive to atmosphere, emotion and visual surroundings. This gave her awareness in how it affects her system and stress regulation, reconnection to self and recovering from overwhelm. The goal was to realign her with her natural reset patterns to reduce stress and friction in her most critical spaces.

With an 18 month old developing child in the home, this family needed more than just language and awareness to understand how the environments shape her regulation and absorption of the family energy. (See Tier 2). Tier 1 gave them the insight on her reset and regulation, most importantly.
The Tier 2 cost ( $ 97 per person / $147. Couple Bundle- saves $47. overall / $ 197. Family up to 3- they chose this one and saved $94. overall by purchasing the family bundle for 3) included the additional information, in a personalized flip book:

A visual moodboard is created for the client, applied to their critical reset room. These can be bedrooms, offices/desk areas or at-home training spaces.

Includes color palettes.

Includes curated starter links on our Amazon pages.
Please note- Tier 1 flip books are $29. USD each, for individuals. Couples: 2 individual flip books for $ 58. USD total and Family of 3 for individualized flip books (1 each x 3): $87. USD total

Doug and Marie purchased this home intentionally as the place they plan to live for the final third of their lives — a space that would support:
With recent hip surgeries, mobility concerns, and the demands of running a large national construction company, the home needed to work with their bodies and nervous systems — not against them.
Doug and Marie came to us with a common question:
“How do we make our home work for both of us? Especially with the open floor plan.”
Doug thrives in spaces that feel grounded, practical, and connected to the outdoors.
Marie is restored by environments that feel refined, intentional, and visually composed.
Their home needed to:
Most importantly, the house needed to feel like a reward — not a concession.
Rather than redesigning everything at once, we identified priority spaces — the environments that would have the greatest impact on daily regulation and long-term well-being. This included the entryway, kitchen/ breakfast / dining, Doug's office, plus all main living areas of the open floor plan and the master suite.
Instead of designing to personalities or styles, we identified priority spaces for each of them — places where alignment mattered most.
By doing this, the entire home could feel cohesive, while individual spaces could be tuned precisely.
The result was a home with a shared mood of Balanced Ease, supported by two complementary environments:
Mood: Settled
Doug’s stress load is cognitive and cumulative. His environment needed to:
Key Adaptations:
The outdoor space was intentionally designed as a restorative extension, not a “project yard,” allowing nature to do the work.
This space supports steady focus during the day and effortless decompression after.
A Settled space doesn’t demand attention — it gives it back.
Mood: Polished Calm
Marie restores through visual harmony and refined detail — but overstimulation or physical strain can quickly become draining.
Key Adaptations:
One of the key challenges of working with these previous clients, was the emotional attachment to the home they raised their children in. Even though we had worked with this client over the years, we approached this new home with fresh perspective and utilized evidence based science through our protocol questionnaire, to assess their nervous system needs at this new phase of life.
The protocol eliminates guess work, extra time and expense, which also allowed us the grace of slowing down the design process to match their emotional needs for the transition. We were able to build on their design style, tweaking and evolving the choices to fit the new home, putting the investment into only purchasing necessary items.
A detailed analysis of spatial needs offered up solutions for using expensive furniture they already owned, which also provided a sense of comfort and familiarity in the new home. However, layers of texture were added to give new life to the existing pieces for a fresh, tailored and comfortable solution.
These rooms now feel refined, welcoming, and emotionally steady — allowing Marie to recharge through beauty and curated, bold, touches in the entertaining areas for social time. Touches of decor will be added and changed over time against their serene backdrop.
Polished Calm is about ease, and intentionally curated display.
By honoring priority spaces first, the rest of the home naturally aligned.
Doug feels grounded.
Marie feels composed.
Together, the home feels restorative and supportive rather than negotiated and demanding.
This approach:
Most homes try to meet everyone halfway — and end up working for no one.
We design differently.
We identify where alignment matters most, and let the home grow outward from there.
Also, homes designed for longevity must support:
We design environments that evolve with people — not against them. Our trademark protocol built on Neuroaesthetics and Neurodesign is evidence based science dating back over 40,000 years of human evolution, that is critical at our very base levels of need, function and desire.
Designing a new shared home that supports two distinct ways of regulating — without forcing compromise or aesthetic tension.
Project Type: New Home Purchase + Style Renovation / Whole Home
Life Stage Focus: Long-term comfort, restoration, and ease
Primary Outcome: Calm, grounded living that supports focus, recovery, and longevity
We help you identify them — and design from there.
